Networking
With the diverse makeup of the members around the world, IDA serves as a vast resource of professional knowledge and expertise that contributes to the overall advancement of aftermarket parts and service. Unlimited benefits and increased business opportunities are derived from personally knowing other industry independent parts suppliers.

Annual Convention
An international IDA Convention is held every year, designed to attract a large membership body for in-depth networking about the industry on a worldwide basis. The well-rounded program includes professional speakers, expert panels, special events and social activities.

These are working conventions with seminars and educational sessions filling the program schedule. Speakers impart expertise helpful in dealer business operation and management.

Independent distributors meet with suppliers, share technical information and provide education that promotes the acceptance of our parts and services in the construction community.

Trade Exhibition
Members have an opportunity to meet the manufacturers and suppliers displaying their products at attractive exhibits during the trade show at each annual convention.

Private consultations abound on and off the trade show floor, providing an opportunity to conduct member-to-member business negotiations.

Communications
The UNIVERSAL is a timely newsletter that keeps you informed about what is happening around the corner and across the world. It is a true 'nuts-and-bolts' newsletter featuring useful information about the industry. Keeping information flowing, which improves business techniques and aids in basic sales promotions, is a prime reason for our newsletter. Being informed will, one way or another, help stimulate the selling of more merchandise and services by the independent distributor.

Improve Quality Standards
The quality control reporting system within the association promotes a joint member effort to establish and maintain an acceptable standard of quality and uniformity of products.

Legislative Monitoring
Politicians and bureaucrats keep finding ways that threaten to destroy our businesses. IDA is part of the only federal watchdog devoted exclusively to the heavy vehicle parts and service business. Legislation that affects a part of the industry will quickly have an impact worldwide. IDA works to keep you informed.

International Affairs
IDA is a worldwide organization with members in over 40 countries. However, it is not surprising that independent parts suppliers have similar problems and concerns whether they are doing business next door or half way around the world. The Association is working to bring members together, to share information.
